C/E Mr. Kamal Datta

I am highly greatful to KLSM for offering me job since 2001. I feel very proud and honored to be part of KLSM, which i find is one of the best ownership company in the world of shipping. Inspite of shortage of qualified officers worldwide, here in KLSM, all seafarers are qualified and provide excellent service. There is steady growth of vessels managed by KLSM. Most of the vessels are new and maintained at high standard in all respect.

All KLSM office staff are very cooperative and highly helpful. KLSM firmly believes in and acts on their Safe Enviornment Policy.

On board we have select staff from India, Bangladesh and Phillipiono. KLSM looks after our welfare like a family and this results in high retention of seafarers. KLSM takes particular care in regard to our allotments, food on board, store supply and timely relief.

K-Line Training Institute in Mumbai has given us additional opportunity to educate ourselves about latest happenings inovations in the world of shipping. Yearly seminars being held in India strengthen the relations between office staff, floating staff and families.

I encourage all officer of all ranks to serve in KLSM for execellent long term carrier.

Humbly yours
Kamal Datta,
Chief Engineer,
KLSM

Capt. R.G. Rosete

I graduated from the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA) in 1982 with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation major in Navigation and Seamanship. My experiences with different Shipping Companies started right after graduation. I have served as a Third Officer up to Master in European Companies before I joined the KLSM Fleet.

I also worked as a Marine Superintendent in Bona Marine Inc. (A subsidiary company of KLSM in Manila) from December 1998 until June 1999. I joined a wood chip carrier “M/V RAICHO II” as my first vessel in KLSM in the year 2002 and continued serving the “K”-Line fleet onboard M.V. Virginia Bridge up to the present.

With my experiences as a Master, I would like to thank you for giving me an opportunity to be a part of your company. I will not forget the camaraderie you have showed. Expect for my sincere cooperation for the success of our endeavors and for a better relationship with our clients by showing good leadership under my command.

I hope you will continue to provide us “Master’s” with all the necessary guidelines, more trainings and full support for the success of our shipping objectives in order to meet the demands of our clients.

In behalf of my officers and crew, we thank you for your continuous support to us, more power, God Bless and Good Luck to all!!!

Capt. Roses G. Rosete

E/O Mr. Aung Naing Kyaw

I am Aung Naing Kyaw from Myanmar. I am an Electrical Engineer with more than ten years of Sea-Service.

On January 2007, through our crew manning company, I have a chance to work with better ship management company. That is "K" Line Ship Management Singapore and we are to sail on its container vessels.

Very beginning of my sea carrier, I was Training Electrical Engineer and my first vessel was 26 years old Ro-Ro ships with side ramps. The lessons I learnt from In-house training class at our manning company help me all the way to become full fledge Electrical Engineer during a short period.

Since my very first days of the sea carrier, I have seen " K" Line vessels and amazed by their elegant beauty and their speed. I imagined to be on such vessels one day in future.

Therefore, I enthusiastically participated in the selection done by Capt. Saito San and Mr Ogawara San. I was very happy to know that I was selected for "K" Line.

Thanks to Mr. Than Win, who has been teaching and guiding us continuously through out the years, most of us has passed the selection.

On the 28th Jan 2007, myself with another two Myanmar Electrical Engineers and our teacher Mr Than Win, attended the Reefer Container Course conducted by " K' Line at Singapore. We have up graded our knowledge and thanks to the instructors.

On 5th February 2007, I signed on the vessel Rhein Bridge and found out that vessel's operation system and management system are better than my expectation. Master and his officers and crew are friendly and helpful.

With my previous experience being on Japanese built vessels in the past, The automation system of engine room was not a problem. But "elevator" was a bit new thing to me as this is my first time encountering it. I used my knowledge gained from deck cranes and I was able to handle the elevator within short period yet it was a bit exciting. I have put the feed back to Yangon Office and Mr. Than Win arranged a lesson for elevator and the books were supplied by KLSM Singapore, so that new comers to the fleet without elevator experience will have certain knowledge and familiar to the operation theory and safety.

SMS Policy of KLSM is very good and it is possible to follow by everyone onboard. Its PMS system helps a lot on maintenance of various machineries. Best of all, ship's stores and spare parts are always on-time, adequately.

I am very happy working with " K " Line and decided to sail on her vessels till reach my retirement days.

Warm Regards
Aung Naing Kyaw
